Beyond the Challenge describes the ongoing story of Crane Lake Discovery Camp – a Christian camp located in the heart of Ontario’s Muskokas serving boys and young men ages 10 to 17. Built on the concept of therapeutic wilderness camping, CLDC is built on the dream and passion of Camp Director Ron Weber and his team to reach out to at-risk youths and their families experiencing challenges in their lives. CLDC uses its 200 acres pristine wilderness environment for campers to learn and continuously work on improving important life skills, such as goal setting, adopting daily routines, problem-solving, communicating and being accountable within the group. Released at CLDC’s tenth anniversary in the summer of 2014, Beyond the Challenge is an inspiring example of vision, community-focussed ministry and faith-based volunteerism to make a lasting difference in the world.
